Everyday Project

Project #1: Everyday

For this assignment you will be required to shoot everyday. When making your daily photographs, consider photographing something that you weren’t expecting to see, something you enjoy seeing everyday, the places, people and things around you. Think about how photography can elevate the ordinary or how the camera can be used like a visual diary. Shoot several photographs throughout the day and select your favorite at the end of each day to turn in for critique. You will do this for ten consecutive days.

Look at artists: William Eggleston, Stephen Shore, Joel Sternfeld, Alec Soth, Byron Wolf, Whitney Hubbs, and Tracey Baran for inspiration.

This assignment will be discussed in class based on creative intention/concept, formal and technical ability to make your photographs and fulfillment assignment parameters.

For the critique:   Bring in all 10 files saved as screen resolution jpegs and named: LASTNAME_dayone.jpg, LASTNAME_daytwo.jpg and so on. We will project these images in class for critique.
